Fidel Lim-Brooks Joins Uprising FC: A Promising Defensive Talent
We are delighted to announce the signing of the young defensive player Fidel Lim-Brooks from Diamond FC.
Our latest new signing was born in Singapore but came to Anguilla when he was just three months old. He returned to the country of his birth in January 2023 and came back to Anguilla in the summer of this year and now resides in George Hill.
Whilst he was in Singapore, Fidel played for the Barca Academy Singapore; yes, that Barca! The giants of European football, FC Barcelona! With this in mind, the first natural question to ask Fidel was to ask him what it was like to play in the Barca Academy:
“It was a nice experience, there was lots to work on in the sessions such as passing, endurance, and as I am a defender, lots of work on control in defensive positions.”
In addition to the Barca Academy, Fidel was also signed to play for Bukit Timah FC but left Singapore before the season started.
We of course are all delighted that Fidel has signed for our club and we were keen to find out what influenced his decision to join us:
“I am friends with several of the players at the club, so that was a huge factor, and I also enjoy the intensity of the training sessions!”
Fidel describes himself as a quick and physical defender and we are sure with those qualities, he will fit into our squad very well indeed!
