Uprising FC Signs Talented Young Midfielder Kemari Gumbs: A Bright Future Ahead

Another day and a yet another signing to bring to your attention! Today, we are pleased to announce the signing of the former Spartans FC 16-year-old midfield player Kemari Gumbs!

Born in Anguilla and raised in Montserrat, Kemari for such a young player brings in not only undoubted talent, but also experience! He has already made 30 appearances in domestic Anguillian football as well as representing our island at international level at under 14’s, 15’s, 17’s, 20’s, and has recently been an important member of the full senior international team!

After putting pen to paper and signing for the club, we asked Kemari what his deciding factor was in wanting to join us.

“I have seen in this the club that there is a great unity, and the players have a good understanding of the game. The team also has a very good coach (Chavoi Gumbs) who like the players, also has a great understanding of the game!”

All of us at Uprising FC know what a talented young player Kemari is, but we wanted to know how he would describe himself as a player.

“I would describe myself as a disciplined player who understands the game and one who is coachable on and off the field. During games and in training, I work very hard, and I have a little saying that I tell myself every time I feel tired, and one that I try to tell others, and that is, WORK HARDER WHEN YOU ARE TIRED!”

We are sure that Kemari’s outlook on the game is music to the ears of all Uprising FC supporters! Finally, we asked Kemari what he would like to try and achieve this season with our club.

“On a personal note, I want to score as many goals as possible and try to get some assists too. In addition, I want to learn from my coach and teammates.”

Welcome to the Uprising family Kemari!
