KENAN LLOYD JOINS UPRISING
We are thrilled to announce the signing of defensive player, Kenan Lloyd from West End Predators!
Lloyd, who lives in the North Hill area of Anguilla was born in The Bronx, a borough of New York City in the United States of America. The former West End Predators defender, who has also previously played for Lymers FC will bring a lot of qualities to our team, and as Kenan says himself; “I am a player that is always willing to run and chase, I have a good engine, and I am a determined player who is strong in the tackle and willing to help out with attacks when required!”
When we asked Kenan what influenced his decision to join Uprising, he shared, “After last season, I felt I was losing my love for the sport. My confidence was low. Then I met Nathaniel Gumbs at the gym, who encouraged me to change my environment and keep playing. I’ve always admired Uprising from afar—the strong bonds between players, the consistency in training, and their impressive gameplay. Plus, Uprising was the first club to approach me about playing Senior League football back in 2016. All of this, along with Nat's encouragement, solidified my choice to join!”
We can’t wait to see Kenan in an Uprising shirt and we are excited to see what the future holds with him at our club. Talking of which, we asked him what he would like to achieve with our club this season. “Honestly, I want to improve my overall game, build confidence, and assist my team in achieving our goals! I trust this will happen as I am willing to learn from my teammates and I trust the leadership of our coach Chavoi Gumbs!”
